ACCESSIBILITY

Venue Accessibility

The event venue is 100% wheelchair accessible. The building features an elevator, and the entire conference area is on a flat level. We also have accessible restrooms available throughout the venue.

Special Considerations

We can assist you in identifying hotels in the area that are wheelchair accessible. Please contact us at organisers@euruko.org if you would like our help with accommodation recommendations.

Ruby Safari Accessibility

The Ruby Safari will take place in the center of Viana do Castelo, which is a charming, rustic city that is mostly flat and generally accessible. While there may be occasional minor obstacles typical of historic areas (such as narrower sidewalks or traditional cobblestones), these can usually be managed with assistance. The Safari culminates at a hilltop location, which is reached via a funicular elevator that is wheelchair accessible.

Transportation

Regarding our complimentary shuttle bus service from Porto, we don't yet have information about the specific type of buses that will be provided. Given the distance from the EuRuKo, the bus company hasn't confirmed these details at this early stage, making it difficult for us to provide that information right now. We'll be sure to update you as soon as we have more details about the shuttle accessibility.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions or if there's anything else we can do to ensure your experience at EuRuKo 2025 is comfortable and enjoyable.

Looking forward to welcoming you to Viana do Castelo!
